Lessons

Teaching and coaching, for me, go beyond merely imparting chords, scales, or technical skills. It is a process of listening—not only to the music, but also to the person behind the music. Every student comes with their own wish, their own desire, or perhaps even a personal struggle. Responding to that means that the path is never the same: the journey is shaped together.

Yet I believe that freedom only gains meaning when it rests on a solid foundation. That is why I always focus on a professional base: technique, theory, timing, and a clear understanding of musical form. Not as a limitation, but as an anchor—a structure from which creativity can grow and improvisation can take flight.

My role is that of a guide and sparring partner: someone who helps the student discover their own voice, without letting that voice be overshadowed by mine. Because, ultimately, teaching for me is about creating a dialogue—between student and teacher, between the individual and the music, between sound and silence.

In my coaching, balance is key: giving space to the student’s personal expression, while simultaneously challenging them to see further, listen deeper, and feel more intensely. In this way, music becomes not just a skill, but a tool for self-development, communication, and connection.
